Alexander Pope Jr. was an American painter who painted still
lifes on the subject of sports and hunting. In addition to drawing,
he also did woodcarving, and his animal figures were quite 
popular. Pope's work is in many private collections and museums,
including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the White House,
the Brooklyn Museum, the National Museum of Wildlife Art and others.
