 This canvas is considered Kuindzhi's most famous work.

Written in the period 1905-1908.

The painting Nocturnal, considered unfinished, was painted by Kuindzhi in 
the last years of his life, and it is seen as a kind of testament of the artist - in 
a sense, his farewell work.
